With the Navy’s acknowledgement and high visibility (U.S. Congress) of worsened reliability and technical performance of the previously chosen next generation aircraft carrier arresting gear, our client was charged with executing a study to evaluate potential solutions for arresting aircraft aboard Nimitz Class carriers.
Our consultants developed a rigorous, equitable analytical framework for integrating performance, life cycle cost, schedule, and risk data and information for an Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) effort. The result was an understanding of the most applicable solutions based on justifiable, traceable, and timely decision support required by the Navy and Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) for appropriately allocating future resources.
Key to Success and Results Our team of seasoned experts with years of experience in Department of Defense acquisitions (including Joint Capabilities Integration Development Systems (JCIDS) and Defense Business Systems processes) and sustainment efforts again applied its integrative analytical AoA approach to support effective and efficient data capture and presentation.
