Problem Statement
As the foundation for acquisition, mission- based gap analyses are of extreme importance.
But just as there’s more than one way to win a poker hand, there’s more than one way to accomplish a mission. But what is the most optimal way of accomplishing a mission?
For this client, the answer to such a question could mean extreme overspending, or worse – purchasing the wrong aircraft for the job.
Tool Specification
DART utilizes a multivariate game-planning algorithm to translate user-defined mission requirements to a suite of aircraft and accompanying technologies necessary to satisfy said requirements at a notional cost and risk level.
Deployment and Value Statement
As a multi-variable acquisition requirements model, DART enables the end user to develop multiple capability gap lists to drive acquisition based upon accepted cost and warfighter risk determinations.
This alone turns military requirements generation on its head, deviating from rigid, qualitative means of requirements definition towards analytically rigorous, dynamic, and flexible acquisition support.
