PROPOSAL WRITER
OPEN POSITION
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will use existing business development portals to identify potential solicitations to pursue. In this role, you will lead the proposal process, from drafting proposals, obtaining input from subject matter experts (SMEs), managing the proposal schedule, and leading internal review cycles. You will track solicitations, business development endeavors, and leads/contacts. You will cultivate and grow relationships with outside organizations that will be leveraged on current and future proposal efforts. You will support the Boulevard team’s business development pursuits of marketing internal tools to external consumers.
WHO YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH
You will be based in our Arlington, VA office with the flexibility to work remote as a valued member of Boulevard’s marketing and business development team. You’ll interface regularly with Boulevard leadership as well as organization partners.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You’re a strong writer, communicator, highly motivated problem solver, a trusted adviser who can identify new business opportunities and craft articulate and concise proposals according to solicitation requirements. You have, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in a communication field with 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of experience in business development and proposal writing

2+ years of experience developing proposals for the U.S. Department of Defense or other government agency

Ability to research, write, and organization information in a professional and detailed manner

Ability to meet deadlines

Ability to coordinate meetings across team members internal and external to the organization

Ability to create framework graphics to facilitate proposal development

Research oriented with the ability to work independently

Strong knowledge of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project

Experience using Monday.com, Salesforce, or similar lead-tracking tool

BA or BS degree in a writing and communications field such as English, Communications, Journalism, or related field
WORK LOCATION
This position is remote with the option to work in-person in Arlington, VA
SECURITY CLEARANCE
Secret clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and will need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
